POLAR DAY
At the North Pole the sun starts rising
around March 21 and doesn't start setting until around September 21. When the
sun stays above the
horizon 24 hours a day it is called the Polar Day. Sometimes
it is called the Midnight Sun.
This very long cycle of daytime in the artic is caused
by the tilt of the earth's axis as the earth orbits the sun.
